Drop off after the swap
You book a time for the seasonal changeover. After the swap, the tyres stay with us. We register your tyres, rims and their condition in our system, and each wheel is labelled with your registration number and storage location. It is quick, you are welcome to wait on site and the coffee is good.

We wash and inspect
Brake dust and road salt are rinsed off. We measure tread depth, check condition and note any remarks on your tyre-hotel card. We get in touch before the next swap if anything needs attention or a closer look.

Wheels are stored standing or lying down depending on the rim. Darkness, a steady temperature and low humidity. Exactly what tyres want.

When it's time to swap, we send an SMS with a direct booking link where you'll find a time that suits you. The wheels are ready at your workshop ahead of your booked time.

How long do you store the tyres?
A season is about half a year: from your summer swap to your winter swap, or vice versa. We have your wheels ready at the workshop ahead of your next booked time. If you need to collect the tyres earlier, just let us know and we'll bring them out. If the tyres stay longer than the standard period, we invoice the storage alone, on 15 June or 15 January, unless you have swapped before then.
What's included in the price?
Washing of all tyres after the swap, tread-depth measurement, climate-controlled storage, insurance for the entire storage period, an SMS reminder ahead of the next season, and retrieval so the wheels are ready on swap day.
What does it cost?
The price depends on which workshop you choose, the space your wheels need and whether you need a changeover or not. With changeover: Sollentuna/Brunna/Tyresö 1 160–1 960 kr, Bromma/Täby/Solna 1 290–2 310 kr, Vasastan 1 390–2 510 kr. If you're unsure where your car lands in the price list, email your registration number (and ideally the tyre size) to [email protected].
Are the wheels insured?
Yes. Your wheels are fully insured for the entire time they're stored with us.
Which workshop should I choose?
Choose the workshop that suits you best geographically. That's where the wheels will be swapped each season. You can't change workshop in the middle of a swap season, but we can move them free of charge between our workshops during quieter periods of the year. Send a move request through the tyre hotel transfer form or mention it at reception during your swap. The wheels are then moved in good time before the next swap.
What happens if I don't collect the tyres?
If your tyres/wheels remain at the cut-off (15 January for the winter season or 15 June for the summer season), we'll send an invoice for the storage period. If it isn't paid and we can't reach you, we have the right to sell the wheels under SFS 1985:982. Get in touch and let us know if something comes up. We can usually sort most things out.
How do I drop the tyres off the first time?
Book a time for "Wheel swap – and I want to become a new storage customer" or "Check in storage wheels – WITHOUT swap". If you've already booked without storage but changed your mind, just say so on site, ideally before work begins. Drop-in usually works for handover without a swap, but we appreciate a booking since it makes registration easier.
Can you store tyres without rims?
Yes. Loose tyres (without a mounted rim) can be stored in the tyre hotel as usual. A mounting cost for your dimension is added on top of the storage cost. Please note that further surcharges sometimes apply depending on tyres, rims and valves/sensors. Contact us if you'd like a price beforehand, with all the information you have, or just drop by.

At Däckgruppen you store your tyres and wheels to suit your needs. You book the swap when it suits you in our online booking, and the wheels are waiting at the workshop when you arrive.
The swap is carried out by our staff, who make sure the wheels sit as they should. We torque every wheel bolt and nut so they're tightened just right. They should of course come off again if you get a puncture at the roadside.
Beyond storage, we swap the tyres and check their condition. If we see something that won't last, we get in touch in good time before the next swap and put together a proposal for new tyres that suit your car.

The right storage, a longer life
How long a tyre lasts can't be worked out in advance, but storage affects it more than most people think. Rubber ages from UV light, moisture and heat, and that goes for direct sunlight as well as strong fluorescent lighting. So tyres belong indoors: cool, dark and dry. That is exactly how we store them.
Professional handling for the best result
Before storage the tyres and rims are washed thoroughly. Brake dust and road salt eat into both rubber and paint if left on for a whole season. We also keep the tyres away from oils, ozone and unnecessary twisting.
Storing them yourself: avoid boiler rooms, steel containers and outdoor storage. Those are the three places that age tyres fastest.
