Here are a few general recommendations:
Older car
If you have an older car, having good tyres is usually especially important. Older cars often have an ABS system that isn't as advanced as in modern cars.
"The second car"
If you have a car that isn't driven much, a slightly cheaper solution can definitely work. That said, the tyres still need to be safe. We've handpicked two brands with a good price-to-performance ratio. If that sounds right for your car, go for Hankook or Laufenn.
All-wheel drive
The general recommendation for a car with all-wheel drive is to use the same tyre model on all four positions. This can vary a bit between car models, so check with an authorized workshop to be sure. Going against the recommendation can increase wear on the car.
