About us
The core idea behind Svenska Däckgruppen was that instead of everyone driving to the tyre workshop to change tyres, the tyre workshop comes to you.
So in 2014 we opened our first workshop, Däckgruppen Sollentuna, among birdsong and golf courses at Överby Gård.
We quickly saw a big need for what we considered basic essentials, drawn from our earlier experience as a firefighter and a restaurateur respectively, namely:
- Thoroughness
- Clear pricing
- Clean and fresh
- Service
- Customer friendliness
Just a year later, in 2015, Däckgruppen Bromma opened. As the only workshop/shop in Sweden, we've kept it open 365 days a year ever since. Many people need help with a puncture on Christmas Day or 2 new tyres the same day their holiday starts.
The success in Bromma meant that after 6 months we needed to expand the storage hotel, and Däckgruppen Täby, with room for 5,300 cars, opened in 2016.
Since then we've worked on opening new locations, seven in total today, learning from others and passing on the needs we've identified in the industry.

In 2016 Svenska Däckgruppen AB also became part of Däckpartner Sverige, Sweden's largest tyre chain.
We put a lot of work into ongoing training and clear values. We think in long-term processes, where the customer is expected to stay with us for many years.
The most modern storage systems and flexible opening hours lead to high efficiency and clear, fair pricing.
A new ”super-facility” opened in Brunna/Kungsängen in 2022, with room for over 15,000 stored cars.
All material from tyres and rims that Däckgruppen handles is carefully reviewed for possible reuse. The rest goes to recycling.
In 2023 Däckgruppen Solna opened a large department for reusing tyres and rims. An instant success! The webshop is now launching for used tyres and rims too. See Used.
During 2021–2022 we installed advanced ”tread-depth scanners” at all our locations. These read the licence plate and the exact tread depth of the tyres, and register it in the customer record automatically. The customer sees the result at the changeover and knows if a tyre needs replacing before the next season.
We are of course fully insured, with added ”customer property insurance”!
